Why Should I Hire a Professional to Design My Facebook Ads?

If you’re debating whether to bite the bullet and hire a professional graphic designer or marketing agency to create online advertisements for your business, we’re here to help you make a decision. (I have to admit that my goal today is to sway your choice, but it's ultimately yours.)

There’s a difference between simply posting images of your brand or your services on Facebook and publishing optimized ads targeted toward specific buyer personas. A lot goes into launching a successful Facebook ad campaign. Here are the most important components.

Choose imagery carefully.

Your Facebook ads should be visually appealing. Highly visual ads have proven to perform more successfully than other types of ads. Choose attention-grabbing imagery that attracts your ideal customers. It can be difficult to know exactly what types of images will resonate best with a specific audience, but we've found that ads with photos of people in them generally perform very well.

Create and test multiple designs.

At Blue Frog Marketing, we typically create at least three ads for one ad campaign. That way, we can test each one and see which design performs best. The copy on your actual image should not take up more than 20% of the surface area. If it does, Facebook will reject it. This forces you to keep text concise and allow the images to speak for you.

Entice your target audience.

Who’s your audience? Before you create your ads, you need to determine who your buyer personas are. Are most of your consumers male or female? What's the average age range? Are you targeting a certain profession or industry? What are some of the main problems your customers have, and how can you solve them?

Once you answer these questions, brainstorm what sets your company apart from your competitors. Why should your target audience click on your ad and visit your website? Your ad needs to illustrate sufficient value to persuade users to click on it. Remember to keep your message clear, concise, truthful, and enticing.

Create relevant content.

When writing the content for your ads, above all, make it's relevant to your audience and to your product or service. If it's not, you’ll be wasting people’s time and your own money on ads that will soon prove to be unsuccessful. Make sure your ad image, copy, and link destination are clear and appropriate.

Include a clear call to action.

Adding a call to action to your ad will help viewers understand the purpose of the ad and where clicking it will lead them. Clarity is key in any conversion process. Encourage your users to click on your ad “now” to add a sense of urgency. Include action words such as download, buy, subscribe, click, etc.

As you can see, a lot goes into running a successful Facebook advertising campaign. This isn’t an exhaustive list, but it covers many important aspects. Working with a cutting-edge marketing agency for online ad creation will keep you up to date with the latest trends and help you implement specific strategies that work best for you! Facebook is constantly updating and changing, just like other successful online platforms. If you don’t keep up, you’ll soon fall behind those who do.
